Owners of a retirement community that just opened in Suffolk say they’re part of a growing number of senior living communities that don’t charge a huge up-front fee for residents. That means seniors can be mobile as they age.  

Inventory in entrance-fee properties has grown 0.6 percent in the past year, compared with 2.1 percent for senior housing that charges rental fees, according to the National Investment Center for Seniors Housing & Care.  Read More
