Good afternoon to our wonderful Harmony at Kent residents and family members,
We would like to provide a brief update regarding the return of our Independent Living and Assisted Living residents to Harmony at Kent.
Air quality testing was completed on all four floors yesterday, and we are currently awaiting the results. In addition, a representative from the State will be onsite tomorrow to conduct an inspection and walkthrough of the community, as well as to review our plan to safely resume onsite services for all residents.
Once we have received the final air quality report and approval from the State, our team will contact each resident or Power of Attorney directly by phone to communicate next steps and coordinate the return to the community.
We sincerely appreciate your continued patience and understanding as we navigate this situation. Please know that we are also eagerly looking forward to welcoming all of our cherished residents back home.

Dear Residents and Families,
First, we would like to thank you for your continued trust, patience, and understanding over the past week. Our team is working diligently to ensure that the ongoing care and service needs of all residents are met.
Early next week, we will be reaching out to schedule individual conversations with residents and families whose apartments were most affected. These meetings will give us the opportunity to discuss both short‑term arrangements and long‑term plans, ensuring that each person has the clarity and support they need.
We are expecting to receive air‑quality results on Monday, which need to be provided to the State before they will allow us to have residents return. As soon as those results are in, we will provide a more definite timeline for everyone’s return. At this point, we anticipate that memory care residents will be able to come back first, as their area of the community was largely unaffected by the pipe burst.
Based on current progress, we are still on track for most residents to return during the last week of February. This timing is dependent on construction progress and required inspections, but so far, everything is moving forward as planned.
If you are currently at Hockessin and would like to transfer to Glasgow or vice versa for the short term while we are repairing Harmony at Kent, please email Sue Post with your request and we will make final determinations on Monday, February 16th. To accomplish this, we must review the apartment availability, ensure we have the proper staffing in place, and obtain any necessary approvals.
If you are looking to transfer communities, have questions or need assistance, please email Sue Post at suepost@harmonyatkent.com. Emailing helps us ensure your request is quickly triaged to the right team members so we can respond as efficiently as possible.
Please know that we are committed to supporting you and your loved ones in every way we can. We deeply appreciate your understanding as we work through this process together.
Warmly,
Tanya
