Senior Stories - Resident Council President

Dave Boulder, a brave military veteran, is now our very own Resident Council President.

Senior Stories

Dave grew up in Baltimore with his parents and three siblings. His father fought in World War I, so naturally Dave wanted to go into the military after high school. He spent 25 years in the Marine Corps while also obtaining his Bachelors in Economics and his Masters in Military Science. After leaving the Corps he worked for a construction litigation law firm for 15 more years before finally retiring in 1979.

Dave has been married four times, has one daughter, one step-daughter, and two step-sons. His daughter Laurie also has the military gene and has been working in Homeland Security at the Pentagon. He enjoys ribs on the grill, vintage cars, and reading anything by John Grisham. He spends most of his days chatting with all of the residents and walking his black lab/beagle mix, Anna.

After moving into Harmony at Martinsburg, Dave began talking with all the residents and associates, attending events, and getting the lay of the land. He now sits as the President of the Resident Council. They meet about once a month to make sure everyone’s voice is heard and to create a sense of community. It started with just a few residents, and now he has to use a microphone because so many people attend. He then digests everything the residents have to say and shares it with the leadership staff. He says, “The management at Harmony really listens to what the residents have to say.”

Wonderful residents like Dave make Harmony Senior Services the best place to live!
